Sketchbook Project Bonus Companion Video!

On a beach by the Pacific Ocean, how much garbage can a person collect in 10 minutes?
I finished the video! It is up on YouTube as well as on the side bar of the blog. This is a bonus companion video to my Sketchbook.

Ok, just as I finished everything I noticed at the very end on the music credits there is a typo. So what I decided that I am embracing the practice of deliberately leaving a mistake so as not to make the Gods jealous...

LOL, good for you. I think the answer to your question of how much is any too much.
As to the ring, hmm, no, no pics. One similar here. http://metalsmiths.com/rosgld.jpg

We did different stones. There was a sapphire but not a large center diamond on that one and I do remember it was in 18k rose gold, which is pretty soft. Hope it holds up but it was beautiful. I would have happily kept it myself. Sadly, with precious metal prices we are doing very little jewelry work

Isn't it sad how much trash there is?! Just south of Bandon is a project at Art101 on making art with the trash collected from Oregon beaches, it's something to see the yurt full of all the trash and what's being created out of it. The art tours the coast to bring awareness to the problem. If you're ever down be sure to check it out.

Hi Cindie! I have heard and read about that project through the washed ashore site you mentioned. I have a lot of links to put up on this topic along with links that show simple things we can all do to help. Just haven't had the time to get them up yet. Hopefully this weekend. There is some pretty incredible trash sculptures they are making there. Thanks for the links.

Theresa, I know what you mean about the price of precious metals. I used to work in precious metal clay. I put it aside for a time for that very reason. Couldn't afford it. Perhaps one day. I do love working with metal too. So many wonderful things to explore.

Great video! I carry a bag in my pocket when walking so I can pick up any stray garbage from roadsides and beaches. So amazing how much stuff is dropped.
